Our Beliefs

We are grateful you’re here—please take a moment to read the beliefs below, as they reflect the Bible truths we proudly stand on.

  • God

We believe there is one God (Mark 12:32; James 2:19), demonstrated in three separate persons (1 John 5:7&8): the Father (John 8:41), the Son (John 1:1; John 1:14; John 8:25), and the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3&4). We believe these three exist as God at the same time (Matthew 3:16-17).

We believe God is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 19:1; Jeremiah 32:17; Colossians 1:16) and will one day destroy all things (Malachi 4:1; 2 Peter 3:10-13).

We believe He is all knowing (Psalm 139:1-4; Proverbs 15:3; Hebrews 4:13; 1 John 3:20). We believe He is everywhere, at the same time, all the time (Psalm 139:7-12; Jeremiah 23:23&24; Isaiah 66:1). We believe He is able to do anything that is within His will and character to do (Genesis 18:14; Jeremiah 32:17; Matthew 19:26).

  • Jesus

We believe Christ should be the center of the local New Testament church. We believe Christ is the Son of God.

We believe He fulfilled every messianic prophecy. We believe He lived a perfect and sinless life, perfectly fulfilling the law laid out by Moses in the Old Testament.

We believe His innocent blood is the only acceptable sacrifice for sin. We believe He became sin for us on the cross. We believe He rose from the dead, as He said.

We believe He is seated at the right hand of His Father in Heaven. We believe He is the Head of the Church, and the only Mediator and High Priest for His believers.

  • The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God and is the Comforter promised to be with us after Christ’s life on earth. We believe He indwells the saved.

  • The Bible

We believe God’s perfect Word has forever been settled (Ps. 119:89) and was delivered to us through ordinary men who were submitted to and directed by the Holy Spirit of God (2 Pt. 1:2). It is both God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16) and man-birthed (2 Peter 1:2).

We believe, according to the promise of God, that every word (Matt. 24:35) of those writings has been and forever (Isaiah 40:8; Luke 16:17) will be perfectly and miraculously preserved (Ps. 12:6–7).

We believe the King James Version to be the perfect Word of God to the English-speaking peoples. We believe this Book to be a “more sure word of prophecy” (1 Peter 1:19), and we believe it to be the only basis for doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16), faith (Romans 10:17), truth (John 17:17), and practice (Psalm 119:9) for the New Testament Christian and the local New Testament church.

  • The Church

We believe the local New Testament church is a God-ordained assembly of believers. We believe the church is a group of born-again believers for the express purposes of furthering the work of God through Bible teaching, biblical Christ-centered worship, and organized evangelism.

We believe Christ is the Head of the church, and He has ordained two offices in His church. The first office is that of the Pastor, who is the man fitting the qualifications found in Scripture and is responsible to lead the church as an under-shepherd. The second is that of the Deacon, who are men that meet the qualifications found in Scripture.

  • Sin

We believe sin has been an integral part of the human race since the fall of man in Genesis 3. We believe every descendant of Adam is born with a sin nature—we are corrupt by sin from birth. We also believe every descendant of Adam has chosen to sin—we are corrupted by sin by choice.

We believe sin is anything that goes against God’s laws. We believe that because of our sin, we are separated from God. We also believe our sin has a payment that must be paid: eternal separation from God in a place called Hell.

  • Salvation

We believe salvation can be found in no one other than Jesus Christ. In His death, He paid the price of sin for us. In His resurrection, He rendered the curse of sin, death, and hell powerless over those who believe in Him.

We believe salvation is a miraculous work of God that cannot be gained by any work of man. God has offered salvation to the world, and He has given man the free will to choose Him or to reject Him.

In order to be saved, you must recognize you’re a sinner. You must repent of your sin. You must, by faith, accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour.

We believe in once saved, always saved. We could not save ourselves; therefore, we cannot keep ourselves saved. God does the saving and the keeping.

  • End Times

We believe in the pre-tribulation, pre-millennial rapture of the church. We believe in the physical resurrection of both saved and unsaved. All this will take place at the Scripture lays out
